Simply Poussin is Alex Aitken’s original Brockenhurst restaurant and occupies a special place at the heart of the Poussin business. Quietly tucked away in a mews behind Brookley Road, and set in a colourful flower-filled courtyard, “Simply” has often been compared to a hidden treasure. We are proud of our reputation for cuisine of the very highest standard, served in relaxed, informal surroundings and this year we have freshened and updated our look while keeping our “laid-back” ambience.  

After 24 years our looks have certainly changed, but the passion for fine food remains the same. At the heart of the ‘Simply” ethos, is the desire to serve the very best food at very ordinary prices in an atmosphere which has been described as, “ simply more unbuttoned”. Our menus reflect the seasons and incorporate the freshest produce, locally sourced wherever possible.  

Classic dishes are imaginatively interpreted and elegantly presented, long-standing favourite soufflés continue to add the lightest of touches to our daily and a la carte menus.
